Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

The short version. We collect as little as we can. Signing in with Google gives us an anonymous ID - not your name, email or photo. Your worlds are saved on your own PC unless you publish them. AI descriptions and pictures are kept for 7 days and then deleted. We don't sell your data, and there are no ads or tracking cookies on this site.

1. Who we are

REM Nebula is operated by J A Reaver LLC, Missouri, United States ("we", "us"), which is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact: support@remnebula.com.

This policy covers the REM Nebula game, its online features and the website https://remnebula.com.

2. What we collect, and why

Your Google sign-in. When you sign in with Google, we ask Google only to confirm who you are (the "openid" permission). We receive a unique, anonymous Google account identifier, which we use to create your REM Nebula account and keep your free allowance and credits. We do not request or receive your name, email address, profile photo, contacts or any other Google data. The game keeps a sign-in token on your PC so you stay signed in.

Your account records. Your credit balance, a record of credit changes (purchases, creations, refunds) and daily usage counters, so the free allowance and credits work correctly.

AI creation. The descriptions you type, pictures you upload to turn into 3D models, and the pictures and models created for you. We send descriptions and pictures to our AI providers to make your creation, and store the results on our servers so the game can download them. These files and descriptions are deleted after 7 days.

Connection information. To stop abuse of the free allowance (for example, many accounts from one place), we use your IP address, but we only ever store it as a salted one-way hash - never the address itself. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses to deliver and protect the Service.

Purchases. When you buy credits, Paddle (our Merchant of Record) collects your payment details, email address and billing country/postcode to process the payment and handle taxes and receipts, under Paddle's privacy policy. We receive the transaction ID, the pack you bought and its amount - not your card details.

The release email list. If you sign up on our website, we store your email address, when you signed up and that you agreed to be emailed. We use it only to tell you about REM Nebula's official release and major updates. Unsubscribe any time by using the link in our emails or emailing us, and we'll delete it.

Support emails. If you email us, we keep the conversation to help you.

Your game data stays on your PC. Your profile, avatars, worlds and settings are saved on your own computer. If you publish a world to the online community (as it becomes available), it's uploaded so other players can find and play it, along with the display name you chose for publishing.

The website. https://remnebula.com doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. Paddle's checkout may use cookies needed to process a payment.

3. Legal bases (for people in the EU/UK)

We use your information to provide the Service you asked for (contract), to keep it safe and prevent abuse (our legitimate interests), to meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting records, and - for the release email list - with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers who help run REM Nebula, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business (in which case this policy would still apply to it).

5. How long we keep it

6. Children

REM Nebula is for people aged 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email support@remnebula.com - for account requests, include your account ID (shown at the bottom of the game's Get credits page) or the Paddle order number of a purchase so we can find your records. We'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents: we don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA, and we don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. You have the rights to know, delete and correct, and we won't discriminate against you for using them.

8. Google user data

REM Nebula's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google sign-in to identify your REM Nebula account.

9. Security and where data is stored

Information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored with Cloudflare; payment details stay with Paddle. Our servers and providers may process data in the United States and other countries; where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and keep only what we need.

10. Changes

We'll update this policy as REM Nebula develops and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the game or on this website.
